Adaptaflex is one of a comprehensive range of patented metallic and non-metallic conduits and cable fittings produced by the electrical multinational corporation, ABB. Starting out in 1883 as a Swedish electrical company (ASEA), about 100 years later the company merged with a Swiss electric group founded in 1891 (BBC). This combined operation formed the ABB Group, a Swedish-Swiss corporation. After more than a century of innovation, ABB now ships more than 1 million products daily to customers all over the planet.

ABB operates in more than 100 countries worldwide and employees 147,000 personnel internationally. Around 3,000 of these are stationed in the group's 20 UK sites, headquartered in Warrington, Cheshire, and providing around £1bn of ABB's annual revenue. The Group's corporate headquarters are located in Zurich, and Electrification Products now forms one of its four main production divisions.

Adaptaflex Products

Given the increased levels of automation and transport of many kinds of fluid materials, including liquids, gases and powders, the development of high grade resistant conduit has become a priority in many industries, particularly for water and waste treatment applications, electrical and electronic installations and the food and beverage sector. Industry patented Adaptaflex products from Rowse provide protection from the elements, even in extreme environmental conditions, with an additional high specification series offering enhanced properties such as EMI screening, low fire hazard properties and higher fatigue life.

Conduits

Adaptaflex offers a wide choice in metallic cable fixtures, providing excellent flexibility, mechanical strength and abrasion resistance in a broad spectrum of applications. This allows the best possible protection along the whole length of the moving parts, and includes a large selection of Electrical and Liquid Tight or Liquid Resistant Conduits in Braided, Covered and/or plain Steel, with optional EMI screening and antimicrobial properties also available.

The Adaptaflex range also includes more than 20 different varieties of non-metallic conduit, in a choice of different materials and weights. This selection of options provides a broad range of technical properties that can be matched to specific cable management applications. Materials include modified and unmodified Polyamide, Polypropylene, pliable PVC and PVCu-covered spirals and Ultra-high Spec braided and extreme environment solutions.

Fixings

Rowse can also supply a complete array of associated metallic or non-metallic Conduit Fixtures and general Electrical Fittings. These include such items as Seal Washers, Cable Clips, Locknuts and Cable End Sleeves, as well as Pipe Extracts, Terminal Blocks and Bushings, together with conduit components such as Couplings, Elbows and Connector Assemblies.
