The German trading company now known as di-soric was originally founded as di-el Industrie-electronic GmbH in 1982. Di-soric Industrie-electronic GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1986, with both companies working on the development of sensors and light processing applications. Di-soric’s base operations at Luedenscheid handled development and production, and soon the di-soric brand was registered in more than 60 countries.

The invention of an innovative fork light barrier in 1987 put di-el and di-soric on the map, and it’s still featured today in di-soric’s product catalogue. The 1990s saw many further innovations, including the first optical and vision sensors. In 2010, di-el and di-soric were merged and became di-soric GmbH & Co. KG.

The group continues to innovate in the field of image processing and sensors, as well as producing LED machines, signal lighting and security technology. Di-soric products are found in assembly, packaging and handling applications, measurement and testing and robotic systems. Di-soric products are widely used in the food and beverage industry, and in the cosmetic and pharmaceuticals, automotive and electronics industries.

Sensors

Rowse offers a substantial stock of di-soric sensors of all types, both standard and specialised. The product catalogue features many different models, with a choice of functional principles such as measuring or switching. We can supply highly sensitive optical sensors that are able to detect, test or measure objects of all kinds. These will work even when ambient conditions are severe or challenging. We also offer di-soric inductive sensors which enable secure contactless detection of objects with metallic composition.

Di-soric make capacitive sensors that function like proximity switches. These provide reliable contactless detection of all types of objects, even in disruptive environments. Di-soric ultrasonic sensors are able to measure at considerable distances, and can securely detect practically any object. Rowse can also offer di-soric magnetic field sensors, label sensors and specialised sensors for specific applications.

Machine Lighting & Signal Lights

Di-soric’s robust signal lights are designed for status displays on all types of industrial machinery, Offering 360° visibility, signal light options include multi-segment IO-Link versions with fully adjustable modes on each level and segment. Image Processing & Identification

Di-soric image-based ID systems come in many configurations, designed for the enhancement of industrial productivity. The systems comprise sophisticated vision sensors and powerful decoding algorithms. Rowse can supply components in this category such as profile and vision sensors, which work with di-soric’s very flexible nVision software. Also in this product group are accessories for image processing such as lighting filters, lenses, handheld ID readers, and accessories.

Safety technology

Di-soric manufacture a range of safety sensors, which are capable of many different functions for all sorts of applications. These include optoelectronic safety sensors such as light curtains and grids, with optional muting capacity. Resilient and robust variants are also available for hazardous environments and the most demanding types of safety application. Di-soric also offer a range of secure control components that can be integrated with safety sensors to provide maximum safe machine availability.

Accessories

Di-soric accessories are available from Rowse for all their main product ranges, as well as optional extras such as universal fastenings. These accessories are intended to optimise and supplement the di-soric range of sensors. They provide easy assembly, smart connections and reliable functioning. Technology for signal preparation includes high-quality function adapters, logic distributors and testing devices. The di-soric accessories range also includes various fastenings such as clamping and ball joint brackets, adapter plugs and attachable plug connectors. At Rowse, we can also supply connection cables in a wide variety of types, lengths, plug connectors and pin assignments.

Since 2010, di-soric has continued to expand internationally, and a new generation of the founding family has taken over the company leadership. Di-soric employs around 140 staff in eight countries around the world. New product innovations since 2016 have focused on developing new lighting technologies. These include ultrasonic sensors, capacitive sensors and IO-link capabilities.
