MK Electric Stockist

Charles Arnold set up his first three-man business in Edmonton, London, in 1919, which was originally called Heavy Current Electric Accessories Company. 100 years later, MK Electric is a household name, with its headquarters and production facilities still based in the UK. Arnold was responsible for patenting the Multy Kontact socket, which was the first major advance from split pin-style sockets. MK also invented the modern style of light switch, and the three-pin safety socket that was soon adopted as the British Standard socket.

By 1984 MK had manufactured 100 million Safetyplugs, and in 1986 was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment. In 1966 it had been floated on the stock exchange, changing its name to MK Electric Holding Company Ltd, and in 2005 was acquired as a subsidiary of Honeywell International.

Cable Management

We supply MK Electric's 2, 3 and multiple compartment trunking for perimeters and distribution, in antibacterial, heavy duty and busbar options. There are also designs for dado, wall and ceiling fittings, with poles and posts for perimeters. Low profile trunking is available for communication cables, and Red Alert cables for identifying alarm systems. Conduit and mini trunking comes in a variety of options, such as oval or corrugated.

Switches

MK Electric offers a comprehensive range of switches, including an advanced lighting control system and an innovative self-powered wireless switch. There are also high-powered dimmer switches, slim and stylish wall switches, decorative switches and the Grid Plus modular switching system, which includes switches, printed switches, secret key switches, dimmers, indicators and buzzer units.

Sockets

We supply a wide range of MK Electric's sockets, including ceiling fixtures, screwless and logic sockets and a modular plug-and-socket Link interface. The revolutionary Elements Collection is inspired by natural materials such as leather, wood and stone, and the stylish Edge range offers an unparalleled slim profile in a choice of 13 finishes. There are also several metal finishes in the Albany Plus range, or heavy-duty metal-clad options for the workplace.

Light Fittings

Honeywell LED light fittings last up to six times longer than more traditional solutions such as fluorescent lights. These low maintenance and energy efficient LEDs are available in Diffused, Batten or IP Rated Luminaire fittings, as well as in the more conventional LED Tubes.
