2019 ISO 9001 & 14001 Update

Rowse has been successfully certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. The certification was issued by the British Assessment Bureau after an in-depth assessment of our Quality Management System and our Environmental Management Systems. It certifies that we are in full compliance with the most up-to-date procedures.

ISO Update 2019

Here at Rowse, we've been using both these standards for many years as an integral part of our working practice. The successful transition to the updated ISO standards offers us greater benefits than before (the previous version was mandated in 2008).

"Making our working practices compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 is the smart move, both for Rowse and for our customers. I am delighted that our Management and Environmental Management systems have once again passed the external audit successfully, and that we have made the transition to working with the new standards."

John Rowse, Director

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is the global standard for Quality Management. Businesses with ISO 9001 compliance can demonstrate that they have detailed and documented processes in place which ensure quality throughout all their operations, both internal and external.

ISO 9001:2015 is a generic standard detailing the specific requirements that any company's Quality Management system needs to meet, in order to provide products and services to a high level of quality. Effective application of the QM system also allows the company to improve its system so as to enhance customer satisfaction, and to assure its conformity to all applicable regulatory, statutory and customer requirements.

ISO 9001:2015 demonstrates that Rowse can provide you with better customer service, certified quality, and increased efficiency throughout all our detailed working processes.

At Rowse, it is our mission to provide all our customers and our suppliers with the best possible quality service. Our internal processes are designed to achieve this, and our training programmes help our staff team to deliver this service while still maintaining maximum efficiency. We also believe that our policies should be fully transparent, so you can find our quality policy here.

What is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 is a basic framework for improving any company's Environmental Management systems. It is applicable to those environmental aspects of a company's products, services and activities that the company can influence or control from a life cycle perspective. However, it does not mandate any specific criteria for environmental performance. It is intended for organisations like Rowse who want to manage their environmental responsibilities, and can be used wholly or in part to systematically enhance their environmental performance and sustainability.

ISO 14001:2015 lays down the criteria for an Environmental Management system.

Environmental policies must include the required plans, controls and procedures that manage, and ultimately reduce the company's environmental impact. These include detailed plans for communication and training, and must establish measurable targets that will comply with legislative and anti-pollution requirements.

Our certification for ISO 14001:2015 helps us to achieve the goals of our Environmental Management system, and accomplish our objectives to reduce our environmental impact and minimise our carbon footprint. You can read our environmental policy here.
